Young people living with lung conditions have an essential perspective to bring to respiratory health, research and policy. The European Lung Foundation (ELF) Youth Group creates a valuable space for young people aged 16–24 to connect, share their experiences and make their voices heard.

Through the Youth Group, participants can contribute to awareness and advocacy activities, develop new skills, engage with respiratory health professionals and researchers, and help ensure that the priorities of young people are reflected in the future of lung health.

FIRS is proud to highlight this inspiring initiative and the importance of meaningful youth involvement in respiratory health. By listening to and empowering young people, we can help build a more inclusive, patient-centred future for respiratory care and research.
