World TB day cut out

World TB Day, held every year on March 24, is a global campaign to raise awareness about tuberculosis (TB) and the urgent need to eliminate this preventable and treatable disease. The date marks the anniversary of Dr. Robert Koch’s announcement in 1882 of his discovery of the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which causes TB. Supported by The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, or The Union, and the Forum of International Respiratory Societies, the day serves as a call to action for governments, health organizations, and communities to accelerate efforts to end TB, reduce stigma, and support those affected by the disease.
