Together with our members and partners — including the Ministry Of Health, Malaysia (KKM),(KKM) the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC),
we are co-hosting this session.

The event will bring together ministers of health, civil society organisations, clinicians, patient advocates, and global partners to explore how to move from commitments to implementation. Key priorities include strengthening early lung cancer diagnosis, improving access to essential medicines for asthma and COPD, and advancing integrated, people-centred respiratory care.

With participation from countries including Brazil, Kenya, and the Philippines, alongside people with lived experience, the discussion will focus on practical approaches to accelerating progress towards Universal Health Coverage.

This milestone reflects the growing global recognition of lung health and the leadership of FIRS and its member societies.

We look forward to the conversation with colleagues in Geneva and turning these discussions into meaningful action on global lung health.
